How will I draw people to my business?

  • How will I get people to "see" my business like I see it?
  • How will I get them to have a passion for it like I do?
  • What do you say when someone says "I don't want to sell"?
  • How can I change their mind about home business & pyramid scams?
These are all questions I hear regularly. My team members ask them all the time. I will tell you straight forward exactly what to do. Are you ready for the answers? It may surprise you.
It is a hard lesson to learn- but every good network marketer/home based business must learn it... when it comes to sponsoring is the willingness to "just say no" and then LET GO.
Read through those questions again above and see what they all have in common...
In each example, a hard working networker is unwilling to let go of an unfit prospect.

Keep this in the forefront of your mind... Sponsoring someone is NOT your goal here.

Sponsoring the right person is.
  • The "right" person has a strong desire to start a home business - they already sees the big picture and know what they want.
  • The "right" person knows exactly what a networking business is because they've been doing their homework. ( They may have already been a network marketer!)
  • The "right person" does not have ridiculous preconceived ideas about owning a business like "I don't want to sell." ( They will already have an understanding!!)
  • The "right" person knows that it takes money to make money. They are not afraid to invest.
  • The "right" person doesn't whine, complain, or make excuses. They are highly motivated and ready to go.
So here's what I say when any of those questions come up...
"How do I get my prospects to see the business like I do?"
,You can't get your prospects to do anything nor would you want to. The desire MUST already be in place and it cannot be injected into them by you or anyone else.
It has to come from within that person.
Your Answer: "Thanks for your time "Joe Prospect", but I don't think you would be a good fit for this business...I don't think it is right for you" DONE. LET GO.
"What do you tell people when they say that they don't want to sell?"
Again, it is like trying to drive a square peg into a round hole... Obviously they are not right for this business. They do not have an entrepreneurs mind. DONE. LET GO.
Your Answer: "Thanks for your time Joe Prospect, but I don't think this is right for you. I don't think it would be a good fit for you."
What is your response when they ask, "Is this one of those pyramid things?"
This is someone who would "like" to make money from home, but they have no real intention of doing business at all. If they really wanted a home business, they would have done enough research by now to know the difference between a networking business and a "pyramid scam."
Your Answer: Thanks for talking with me Joe Prospect, I just don't think you would be a good fit for this business." DONE. LET GO!
Don't even answer questions like these because the answer is going to go in one ear and out the other...it is irrelevant to the prospect. They already have a mind set and you are not going to change their mind! They do not qualify for an answer. Don't waste your time and energy. These aren't the people you're looking for.

Let them go.
Staying focused on the outcome with prospects like this will destroy your business.
It only leads to frustration, doubt, and confusion... All of which is unnecessary. Let Go and Move on...NEXT!
I started sponsoring people automatically when I finally became willing to let them go... Really.
When I became "willing" to sponsor someone, instead of "needing" to.
When I found I held all the power in the conversation instead of my prospect.
I know that "letting go" of your prospects in order to sponsor more of them might seem backwards, but it makes perfect sense once you understand the psychology and the law of attraction.
The foundation of attraction is based on the level of value you have to offer others.
If you come across as needy or desperate is like having a neon sign flashing on your that says, "RUN! Here I come!" It shows them that you have no belief in your own business and that you are of no value to them.
So it becomes very important that you demonstrate your ability and willingness to "let your prospects go".
Successful Marketing Rep's don't" need" to sponsor more people. They don't "need" to return phone calls, or constantly chase down prospects.
Once your prospect realizes that about you; that is the moment they'll feel a strong desire to work with you and they will be asking you about your business- calling you and signing up weithout your walk through...They will find a way to be in your business!
